Director of the Taras Shevchenko Regional Universal Scientific Library of Cherkasy
I am a professional librarian. In 1991, I graduated from the Kyiv State Institute of Culture, majoring in librarian-bibliographer of technical literature. Since then, for 30 years, I have only one entry in my work book about being hired at the Cherkasy Regional Universal Scientific Library. All my work is connected with my favorite job in the best library. It was here that I went through all the stages of professional growth, formed as a person.
Having worked for 17 years in the local history department (from the leading librarian to the head of the department), I initiated the creation of the local history club “My Cherkasy” to popularize literature and knowledge about her native region. I have publications in the press dedicated to prominent regions and historical events.
Member of the Presidium and member of the Board of the public organization “Cherkasy Regional Organization of the National Union of Local History of Ukraine,” head of the public organization “Cherkasy Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Library Association.”
While in the position of deputy director, I achieved the creation of a new unit – the Department of socio-cultural activities, advertising and PR, which contributed to the promotion of reading among the community and improved the image of the library.
I am constantly working on improving my professional level. I am interested in the introduction of innovative models and tools for the development of the regional scientific library and in the development of library affairs in general.
