With the support of the fundraiser led by the School of Information at San Jose State University, donations totaling $325 were collected from teachers and students. In April 2023, these funds were handed over to Marina Volodymyrivna Sokolova, the head of the city library branch for children No. 1 of the Communal Institution of the Boyarka City Council, known as the “Boyarka Public Library.” With this money, 59 children’s books were purchased on April 25th and 26th, 2023, from online bookstores “Buklya” and “Rozetka.”

In July 2023, Dr. Gosart delivered $750 from the grant by Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) to Marina Volodymyrivna Sokolova. In August, 106 books were bought from the book internet store “Buklya,” and 23 books from the book internet store “Yakabu.” The total number of books acquired was 129.

The overall number of received books is 188 copies, encompassing children’s books of various themes for infants, young children, and students of different age groups. These books include works by Ukrainian and foreign authors that are published in the Ukrainian language. A special shelf has been allocated for these books, with labels indicating the institutions that provided funding. The new books are highly popular among the library visitors.
