Since April 2023, we have been raising funds and applying for grants to supply the Boyarka and Cherkasy regions with books for all ages. We are able to disperse these books with the help of\u00a0our Ukrainian partners \u2013\u00a0Liudmila Diadyk<\/a>, director of the Cherkasy Regional Universal Scientific Library, and\u00a0Marina Sokolova<\/a>, head of the City Library Branch for Children No. 1 of the Boyarka Public Library.<\/span> Our work in the Boyarka region focuses on four villages, Novosilky, Kniajichi, Perevitz, and Maliutianka. Village Libraries Fundraiser<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Village libraries in Ukraine are the only social hubs in their communities, but they are in desperate need of books. They support local schools, elderly, internally displaced persons in addition to servicing their regular readers.<\/p>\n
