The population of the village is about 1500 people. Visitors to the library are children, adults, and the elderly. However, the library&#8217;s collection is very poor, so there is no almost no choice of what to read, and as a result, the library is losing its readers since it cannot offer anything new and fascinating.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_760\" style=\"width: 230px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-760\" src=\"https:\/\/ischoolblogs.sjsu.edu\/community-engagement\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Novosilky-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"292\" class=\"wp-image-760\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-760\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Books at the Novosilky library<\/p><\/div>\n<p>As of January 01, 2022, the collection consisted of 4614 items, including 3490 books.\u00a0<strong> In 2022-2023, 978 copies were withdrawn, while only 11 were received.<\/strong> The library lacks books from the school literature curriculum, children&#8217;s books, such as primers and other educational books for children. There is a demand for contemporary Ukrainian and foreign literature.
