Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ether have grown in value making it easier for traders to exchange that value for paper currency. Blockchains are also allowing startups to secure funding through ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings) in exchange for tokens rather than stock certificates. Because anything can be tokenized through blockchain, certain platforms such as LAToken can allow owners and investors to trade real-world assets over blockchain. The technology has diversified how people can invest, but is still in its infancy in the investing world.
