The city of Dubai launched its Blockchain Challenge on Feb. 5, 2017 inviting startups and businesses to contribute ideas on how Dubai can achieve its goal of integrating blockchain technology into the city. The city aims to become the first blockchain-powered city by the year 2020. Accepted applicants were invited to a challenge event on May 22.
